Privacy notice
This page sets out, in plain language, what becomes of the details you type into the contact form here. The site carries a free course on how ChatGPT reads and describes a boutique immigration law firm. There is no sales pipeline behind it and no mailing list waiting to absorb your address.
Who is responsible
This course and site are run by an independent teacher of AI visibility. For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the controller of the data described below is the operator of chatgptoptimizationfrance.com. Any privacy question, or any request to exercise a right, can go to hello@chatgptoptimizationfrance.com.
What the form takes in
When you submit the contact form, these details reach me and nothing more:
- Your name and email address — used solely to address a reply and send it back to you.
- Whatever you write in the question fields: the prompt you ran, the answer ChatGPT gave, and any link to or excerpt from a firm’s public materials that you choose to paste in.
All of it serves one purpose: replying to the question you raised. Your details are not folded into a newsletter and are not passed to anyone beyond what is strictly required to deliver the reply. The form keeps its submission time alongside a salted SHA-256 hash of your IP address, used only to throttle automated abuse; the raw IP, browser fingerprints and device metadata are never stored.
What is never collected
- No tracking cookies. The audience measurement used here is cookieless and assigns no per-visitor identifier.
- No advertising pixels, retargeting tags or marketing-automation scripts.
- No profiling, and no automated decision that would have a legal effect on you.
- Your details are never sold or handed to commercial partners — a free course simply does not work that way.
The lawful basis
A message sent through the form is handled under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (a step taken at your request before any agreement). The salted IP hash that shields the form from abuse rests on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (the legitimate interest in keeping the form usable).
How long it is held
- Form messages: held for up to 12 months so a follow-up keeps its context, then deleted.
- IP hashes: held for 90 days — long enough to deter repeated abuse — then removed.
- Email replies: held while the exchange is live, or 12 months after the last message, whichever is later.
Your rights
The GDPR lets you ask to see your data, correct it, delete it, move it elsewhere, restrict its use, or object to the processing. Send any such request to hello@chatgptoptimizationfrance.com and a reply follows within one month. If you believe the handling breaks the rules, you may complain to the data-protection authority where you live.
Where the data lives
The servers behind this site are in European Union (Germany). Where a supporting service (email provider) operates outside the European Union, that transfer relies on standard contractual clauses and on the safeguards the recipient publishes.
Changes to this notice
This notice changes when the handling of data changes in a meaningful way. The "Updated" date at the top marks the version in force.
